Kuala Lumpur is different! Advert for tailor-made shirts via Groupon.

Have a look at this advert, painstakingly put together and such fun to read!

50% Off] Tailor-Made Shirt for Suits at RM150 instead of RM300. For men / women

Perfect moments are often ruined by misplaced sentiments, resulting in friendly handshakes, cold showers and attires still on one’s self. Suit up for good and bad days with today’s Groupon: for RM150, you get a tailor-made suit shirt (RM300 value) from Ben Tailoring & Design in Bandar Damansara Perdana.
Retiring mascots trade in fowl identities, opting for more fashionable disguises and overflowing swagger that accompanies tailor-made tops. Clothe northern regions in a choice of up to 100 different fabrics painstakingly woven into suit shirts by garment-smith with over 20 years of experience to the envy of southern components still drabbed in stale offerings of yester-year. Customers may choose to have initials weaved on custom costumes, side-stepping temporary memory lapses or for less mainstream means of identification. While bigger is definitely better for most things in life, chest sizes above 42 inches will be subjected to an additional RM35 charge.
I haven't tried them out so cannot vouch for them! Was just sharing the unique ad.
By the way if you want tailor made shirts from these guys check out Group on or their shop;

Make friends, Meet new people in Kuala Lumpur.

One of the many ways to integrate your new life in Kuala Lumpur is to get out and about and meet people.
The most organised, fun way of doing this is to attend the monthly Expat Mingle events. The venue changes every month and there is free flow beer and finger food for a small fee.
Next meet is on February the 14th- Valentines at Modesto's Cap Square. Have a look at this link for more information:
Expat Mingle

If you are Austrian, speak german or love anything germanic then join the Austrian "Stammtisch", 2nd Tuesday of every month at Havana's in Changat Bukit Bintang from 6:30pm.
Austrian Rendez-vous

If the above don't tickle your fancy then either join a group of people with similiar hobbies and interests or better still start your own group!! The best place to do this is here:
Hobby Groups via Meet Up

Please see my added tip below on a networking group called Internations:

Which ever one/s you choose get out there and have fun making new friends!! Enjoy!

Burns Night/Supper: Scottish Event in Kuala Lumpur, 2012.

A fantastic evening not purely reserved for Scottish people but a Scottish event nonetheless. Last year's event was full of laughs, Scottish dancing, kilts, Sgian-dubhs, comedy, bagpipes, Haggis and whiskey. Let's not forget the poetry as well. This night dedicated to the Scottish poet Robert Burns is an annual event and is not to be missed!

To mingle with expats and experience this very unique Scottish tradition come
join us this year at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on the 28th of January, 2012.

Volunteering in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

If you are simply bored to tears at home or would like to give something back to society there are plenty of causes you can get involved in.
These causes range from sparing 3 hours a week teaching at a school to donating food or your old stuff to youth centres. You can give time, money, food or things you no longer need, whichever suits you and all amounts are very welcome.
If you are interested in some more information here are some places to contact:

Get in touch with either of the above and see how rewarding it is to give to others in need. You will also get to meet some very inspirational people, get to know the city better and even make new friends.
